The race committe, Charlie and Susan Thompson, at this point was on the safety boat. The safety boat needed to get ahead of the fleet and return the race committee to the committee boat befoer the finish. On the way some photos of the local commercial scenery were taken.

The first photo is the Orleans Windmill near the Orleans Inn. The second is the Orleans Inn itself. The third is Goose Hummuck, a well known local kayak outfitter.
