From the committee boat the two race leaders, Moore and Crocker, are seen tacking toward the finish. About 3-4 boat lengths separate the two at this point.

These photos are taken from quite a distance with a digital camera. In the first photo the three leaders are seen (along with a few randomly placed kayaks). The first two boats are still quite close.
