Not much happenned so far in 2026. Its mid March and one good snow and a few smaller snowfalls of 4" or less. Only went to Sugarloaf once so no season pass next year. Skied for 45 minutes in the yard.

0103-car-ramp-kit
One of Tara's gifts was a car ramp kit. The kit part was sort of a gag but it was something she needed. I told her that I'd waive the assembly, delivery and installation charges since it came late. The pieces were all cut but no sense bringing the truck on Christmas with the pieces. This is the first bit of assembly.

Assembly of the car ramp kit continues. Second of two sections is being built, then all done.

Assembled car ramp kit is loaded on the truck and ready for delivery which didn't happen for about a week.

Car ramp kit is assembled, delivered, and installed. Tara is happy to be able to put her car in the garage without jumping a 4" curb.

Daniel gave me a "Not Significantly Different from a Good Dad" mug. This is the first use with some tea.

Fidium wanted a photo of my router thinking they could identify the brand by looking at it. Obviously they could not.

0127-snow-shoveling
This was the one good snow fall we had in 2026. It was 8-10" in the walkway (measured) and drifted 12" or more near the boat and by the garage door due to east wind. I shovelled a path along the walkway to the boat, then did the boat, then most of the driveway and truck. The driveway was not quite done when darkness halted the job.

0128-snow-shoveling
This is the part of the driveway that didn't get done on the day after the snowfall. The snow was deep and heavy near the road so this took a while. Great exercise.

Jo-Ann took a short video of the dogs playing in the deep snow.

0217-eggplant-parm
I made eggplant parmesan. It was good but the vegan mozarella got overheated. Maybe next time add that last so it doesn't melt away.

These are the two pieces of furniture in the second bedroom. This is likely soft brown maple. Jo-Ann and Shannon wanted to see the finish.

0227-local-fox
Finally got a photo of the local fox. He (or she) was very close but by the time I got a clear photo farther away. Still fairly clear.

0305-moon-reflection
This was a nice moonrise after sunset with the moon reflecting off the water of Pennobscot Bay.

0309-uscg-in-bay
USCG was in the water nearby in Pennobscot Bay. It was not obvious why they were there but they stayed about 24 hours. The first two photos also got a sailboat which provides a good contrast in size. This was a big USCG boat, whatever it was doing.

0310-yard-ski-tracks
These were yard ski tracks the day after skiing in the yard for 45 minutes or so. The prior day this was all covered with a fresh 4" of snow but it was very warm and sunny so melted to ner nothing by the end of the next day when the last of these photos was taken.
