0407-last-trailer
This is the last load on the enclosed trailer being taken from the storage unit in Topsham to the house in Belfast. In the back is the treadmill (very heavy) and in the forground is the blades for the wind turbine (fragile) and under that the solar panels (also fragile).

0413-towson-laundry
I visited Erin and Mike again. Not wanting to use the dryer for some things I set up some line on their fence and used it as clothes line. This was a visit but also to pick up the living room furniture.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0419-belfast-living-room
This living room furniture was given to Erin and Mike. They thought if was too formal so gave it back. That was about seven years later so it was a bit like a long term loan. There was slight dog chew on the corree table but the rug was stained and had to be replaced.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0420-belfast-view
This is a view of Penobscot Bay. I think it is from the upstairs bedroom but might be from the upstairs deck.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0422-garage-kayaks
I temporarily hung the two kayaks on a pair of existing lines to get them out of the way in the garage.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0427-washer-dryer
After seven weeks of waiting I finally got my new combination washer/dryer. This is a US version of a European styled unit. It is highly efficient and saves space but capacity is limited. The dryer is ventless and runs on 110V.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0505-tesla-wall-charger
The Tesla Wall Connector is now installed. It reaches the car when parked outside the garage.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0506-track-sawing
This photo shows the use of a board and the circular saw as a make shift track saw.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0510-tool-shelves
This is the beginning of shelves being built in the garage for toolboxes.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0511-tool-shelves
The toolbox shelves are progressing slowly.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg

0512-bad-marketing
Bad marketing calling a fuel oil company Dead River, even though that is a place and was named long before the company was founded.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0512-kayak-hanger
After buying some blocks the kayak rack design was changed. There is now a 2:1 block arrangement on the kayaks. The hooks used to hang the kayaks are also more substantial.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg

0514-tool-shelves
Further progress is made on the tool box shelves.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0516-new-furniture
Dining room furniture and quest bedroom furniture arrived. A few photos were taken of the view from the quest bedroom and adjoining deck.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg Image file: photo04.jpg Image file: photo05.jpg

0517-mini-wire-rack
A small rack was added in the basement to organize the ethernet cabling and provide a place to mount ethernet switches.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0519-rack-mount
The large rack for the rack mount servers was mounted near the small ethernet switch rack.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0523-flooring
These photos were taken for the flooring store to consider repairing the dining room wood floor. The dog paw scratches and poor installation are highlighed plus photos of the spare wood in the attic.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg Image file: photo04.jpg Image file: photo05.jpg

0525-tool-shelves
The tool box shelves are now completed. The tool boxes are off the garage floor. The next step is to build shelves under the stairs for the hand held power tools and for fastenners and other hardware.

0531-jambalaya
This is Beyond Sausage jambalaya in the slow cooker and a sample bowl. I later found that broiling the sausage before putting in the slow cooker was better than frying it though it did shrink the sausage.

0601-bad-speakers
Ohm rebuilt my speakers but sent me the wrong pair. These were mismatched and both had flower pot stains on the wood. They found mine and I sent these back. In their defense they had moved to a new location and were not yet well organized.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg Image file: photo04.jpg Image file: photo05.jpg

0604-belfast-ducks
Mother and baby ducks in Belfast Harbor. I'm not sure why I kept this blurry photo, but here it is.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0605-good-speakers
These were the Ohm speakers that had just been rebuilt. They are in a temporary location because I could only find two short pieces of speaker wire. I ordered new wire and then fould longer and larger wire but the wire I ordered was even better. Most important beside the finish on these being in near perfect condition is they sound great and had blown woofers when I sent them in for rebuild. They replaced the woofers and tweeters since technology had improved in the last 45 years since I bough these.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0606-new-rugs
These are the new rugs for the living room, dining room, and hallway. They are still rolled up.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0607-new-rugs
These are the new rugs just unrolled and put into place. The downstairs of the house looks a lot better with these.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg Image file: photo04.jpg Image file: photo05.jpg

0607-tile-label
If I ever need to replace floor tiles I have a few or if I want to order more of the same this photo or the box might come in handy.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0608-bookshelf
These photos were an attempt to match the finish on a new set of cabinets with the new cabinet finish on the small sample board in the last photo. The color in the first photo was way off due to the lighting in the room. The next two used just the flash.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg

0609-living-room-placement
Relatives complained about furniture placement in the prior photos so I rearranged the chairs and that made people more happy.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0611-belfast-rowing
This is Belfast's Come Rowing program. A group of five women are rowing into the docks at the end of an early morning row.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg

0611-lasagna
Lasagna in the pan and a fairly large portion on the plate. This had spinach, mushroom, and black olives with cashew based vegan mozzarella. My neighbors got a smaller pan as a thank you for some help over the winter.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0611-sailboat-view
I couldn't resist taking a photo of a sailboat passing by. This is taken from my deck off the kitchen.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0612-speakers-moved
This is a better placement of the speakers. My new turntable had recently arrived along with the speaker wire.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0617-salad-dressing
The slop in the bowl is spices filtered out from home made oil and balsamic vinegar based salad dressing. The salad dressing needs to sit in the spices for two weeks before being filtered. They needed a second finer filtering. I put them in tall decorative (but impractical) bottles.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg

0618-office-demo
This is the first stage of the home office demolition. The cabinets are off the walls with only minor damage to the walls. The desktop is still in place.

Image file: photo01.jpg Image file: photo02.jpg Image file: photo03.jpg

Image file: photo01.jpg

0621-power-tool-shelf
This is the start of a small cabinet for power tools and fastenners (nuts, bolts, screws, nails). A back wall is in place and some framing is done.

Image file: photo01.jpg

0630-lawn-tracks
Tim cut the lawn with his big heavy machine when the lawn way too wet and made some nasty tracks in the lawn. I was not happy but I got over it and didn't complain.
