The next leg is downwind. It is a pair of broad reaches around the outside mark. The four leaders remain very close heading toward the downwind mark.

The first few photos show the four lead boats. Before the outside mark the standing is Crocker, Hansen, Maynard, and Moore. After the outside mark, Moore gains some ground on Maynard. Crocker and Hansen look to be sailing within a boat lengths lead of each other and Maynard and Moore appear to be sailing within a boat length lead of each other and quite close to the two leaders.
