This framing and platform was made to keep Ed (the painter) safe while painting above the stairs. I built this in 4 pieces, two 30"x48" boards with some framing to hold them in place, the horizontal framing, and the vertical brace. Assembly and disassembly is possible with one person but much easier with two.
