A few photos were taken from a distance. These show the spacing of the boats on the downwind leg. In the latter photos one boat has broken off to the left of the photo. This is Bill and Nancy Moore who have decided to take the long way around the island where the rest of the fleet is taking the shorter way. Apparently the short way had a stronger opposing current on this rising tide.
The odd looking wooden vessel in one of the photos is the "pirate ship" operated as a childrens attraction by Goose Hummock. It is slow moving and did not interfere with the race.
