1018-erin-sage
Erin trimmed her sage in her garden. I brought this pile to Tara who
I don't think has put much of a dent in it. That is quite a lot of
dried sage, once dry.
1125-turkey-railing
A you turkey decided to perch on our deck railing. Looks like a young
female. She didn't seem bothered by people. The photos are through
the glass with a bit of reflection.
1126-turkey-flock
This was taken from the deck. The Orleans house has another flock of
turkeys. This is a regular set of visitors.
1206-broken-tree
We lost a tree. This was a bad situation from the start. The tree
had a dead limb and an ant problem at that point. It broke about 15
feet up from the base and then got hung up in a nearby tree. First
step was to get that 15 foot upright to fall over in the right
direction with a cut at the base and the help of some line pulling it
along.
1207-broken-tree
With the tree down the base had to be pulled away from the tree it was
hung up in. First attempt broke the old anchor line I had been using.
1208-broken-tree
The next attempt involved multiple lines. An important line was to
keep the tree from falling in the direction of the back of the garage
very near it.
1213-broken-tree
One problem with this tree was the base had buried itself in the
ground so the lines had to both lift the stalk of the tree and pull it
away from the tree it was hung up in. Blocks and hand winches were
used. I did manage to break some smaller sailing blocks. In the end
I got larger blocks and took care of this.
1227-shan-cookies
Shan is making cookies. This was just after Christmas.
1231-fireplace
This was a New Years Eve fireplace fire.
